Pug Possee Chew Toy !!
I saved the best for last. This is our ten year old Golden Callie. She's been a wonderful dog but like me has a lot of silver in her hair and doesn't like having her picture taken. She has been Den Mother, Defender of, and most of all playful companion to all our pugs. She will be crossing the Rainbow Bridge sooner than we would like but we know she'll be in good hands with her other siblings long gone - Silky, Sam, Ginger. Whiskers, Midnite I and Midnite II (cats) and Goble (our 1st dog ever named just for me) , She IS the BEST DOG EVER !

commented almost 2 years agoBeauitful dog Joe, sounds like you are like me, I have never been without a dog my whole life and each one has been family.
Rusty Wood
commented almost 2 years agoYes Joe, our dow is about 85lbs and we had to get a bigger bed.

commented almost 2 years agoShe is a very pretty old girl. We do love them like family don't we? I will have to post our old girl LuLu before the contest ends.

commented almost 2 years agoYes Deb - Toni and I have had a dog since the day we got married. A week before we got married Toni got a Schnauser (sp) which Dustin promptly named Goble. Soon after we got out first Golden - Ginger - and we've never had less than two at any time.
I just could not get a good shot of Callie until this morning. She was tired from the heat and just laid down in the bedroom . I don;t think she saw me coming. Thanks for the complements on her. She is a good dog.

commented almost 2 years agoRusty - We do have her a large dog bed on the floor next to our bed where she sleeps. Each morning at 6:00 on the dot Lola and Max jump down and start licking her. They love her and want her to get up and play. We haven't had to use an alarm clock in years.

commented almost 2 years agoP.J. Please do. I'd love to see her.

Joe Goble
commented almost 2 years agoThanks Dena & Robin. She may be a Golden but the Pugs think she is just a larger version of them.

commented almost 2 years agoLike this shot! I am glad you included your old lady! We lost our ole Husky lady this past spring, so your caption did bring a tear to my eye, but that is okay. I may work at the Zoo and have an animal family there, but we have a whole other animal family at home that means the world to us as well!
Joe Goble
commented almost 2 years agoThis old girl still has moments of youthfulness. When we let them out this morning before before work she tried to "pugtona" with the others. She made 2 trips up and down the back yard and then had to stop and rest. Young at heart - old in body. Been a great dog.

commented over 1 year agoGreat Photo of a Faithful Friend Callie! I have had dogs all my life and lost my 15 year old Black Lab in 2008 to cancer. I didn't think I could ever get another but I caved in and got another Lab, Sophie. She will be 1 YO Friday and weighs 90lbs. Goldens are very smart and loyal dogs. Enjoy her.

commented over 1 year agoSweet shot. She is lucky to have you. My animals are also part of the family. It is so sad when they get old, but I wouldn't trade all the joy they give for the sadness of short lives.

commented over 1 year agoLooking at this picture reminds me of my favorite dog Daphney. Toward the end she had that wore out look on her face but was always willing smile and wag that tail for me anytime she saw me.

commented over 1 year agoA truce it shall be.......I seem to see all the things, little things and large, that are out there in this world that I always took for granted before and with my photography I can see them much more gratefully and love them more....my family and pets are the most important to me also but so are my new friends and I consider you as one now!......best of luck to you Joe!

commented over 1 year agoLearned that little note trick myself to get peoples attention. Yes I've started to see things and the possibility in things I took for granted before. It gives me a greater appreciation for paying attention to what's going on around me. Best of luck and I promise not to upload anything else
Kayli Birdsong
commented over 1 year agoMy dog, Sue, looked like a Golden, but she was part Lab, part Chow. She hated pictures, too, but she was the best dog I ever had, and possibly will ever have! I love this pic. :)
