HaveYouSeenThisPig?
Hilton Hogg Hudson had not been living with us long when ca. 1987 we decided to take a tent camping trip to Smokey Mtn. National Park. For a little stuffed pig Hilton has a lot of personality, and besided his middle name spelled backward is ggoh (go), so naturally he went along. The last picture we had of Hilton was him sitting on the top of the pickup cab looking through his binocs at Heintooga Overlook. After we had left there and driven all the way down the mountain it dawned on us that Hilton was nowhere to be found. Back up the mountain we went. But no Hilton. Searched the road ditches for yards but no Hilton. When we got back home, which was Russellville at the time, I found this photo of Hilton. I hade several copies made and pasted them onto a copied poster that said HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PIG? along with a description. I sent it to all the campgrounds in the area, the Indian Service at Cherokee, etc. etc. I exected nothing but it was so little effort to try. Several, several days later there was a small package from North Carolina in the mail. When I opend the box there was a letter that stated, "Yes, we have seen this pig." It was from the Indian Service. The letter went on to say Hilton has been found by some workers in weeds near the bottom of Roundbottom Road. It said he no longer had the necklace but there in the box was Hilton, butt side up, but little worse for wear although he did have some storeis to tell. Hilton is still our constant companion when we ggoh anywhere. And he has learned to be more careful. We have learned that sometimes a long shot is worth the effort.

Maybe 3 years ago. She would rather be on the viewfinder side of a camera so I don't have many of her.

Long, long ago in waters both near and far I used to catch the occasional nice bass. These 7-8 pounders made it to the wall.
