A buddy and I went out shooting yesterday and this is what I came away with.

I got a new lens this week: a Nikkor 35mm f2. I went out to some nearby farmland to test it out. This is the type of shot I can get with it. Sharp foreground, nice soft background. Yum.

I took my grandma out for a stroll a couple weeks ago and came across this scene. It's pretty much just a photo of leaves, but when you love autumn as much as I do, you end up taking tons of pictures of leaves. I bet something near 10% of my photos are photos of leaves.

I was looking through some old photos today and ran across a rather boring stream of leaf shots. This one caught my eye. I spruced it up a bit in Photoshop (added contrast, sharpness, plus a couple other tricks) and decided it's worth posting. But again, it may just be because I love fall so much.

October is my favorite month... I think. March is in the mix because of my beloved March Madness. But for every other reason, October is the best month.
