What do you think I can do to improve myself?

Photo #1 Aperture: f/2.0 Exposure: 1/500 sec. Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 100 The focus should be on the eye, seems a little off . 50mm @ f/2.0 gives you about 1 inch depth of field depending on how far away you are from your subject . If able use spot focus on the eye and enough depth of field to make the eye tack sharp. I would also not have the nose touching the edge of the frame.

Photo #2 Aperture: f/7.1 Exposure: 1/640 sec. Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 100 Not sure what you were looking for with this shot? I like the dreamy effect but can't find anything (subject) that draws my attention.

Photo #3 Aperture: f/4.0 Exposure: 1/200 sec. Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 200 This is the best of the three in my opinion. The lighting fixture is touching the edge of the frame but I like the composition and the exposure overall :)

Hope that helps!

That does help immensely! Thank you for your input! The first one was a self portraits so I was kind of happy I had gotten my face in the frame at all. Needless to say I'm not the best blind shooter, but I can definitely see where you are coming from on that critique.
